There’s a difference between “being depressed” and “feeling depressed”.
Being depressed is the lie.
The idea that it’s a “disease” that causes a hormonal imbalance, and it cannot be cured is patently false.
If you don’t know this already, ask yourself, why isn’t there a single test to identify the depression virus/pathogen/disease?
Not a single one. All the tests they use identify real issues you may have. Instead of diagnosing why you have a hormonal imbalance, they mislabel you “depressed”.
Now the other side, “feeling depressed” is all too real.
That’s the experience of not caring about anything.
Uninterested in things that once excited you because, “what’s the point?”.
Pure apathy.
Most people have tasted this at least once.
Then they got back to living life with purpose, and on purpose.
The “being depressed” crowd wants you to think there’s NOTHING you can do to correct your hormonal balance. That you need to be in talk therapy forever with pills to keep you stable.
Meanwhile, people improve their hormonal balance every day directly with food, exercise, and sleep. Or for an extra blast of stability, friends, significant others, career, spirituality, investments, etc.
That’s right, you’re not depressed brother, you’re sleep-deprived and lonely.
The “feeling depressed” crowd knows basic physiology, and we live the positive results of taking care of ourselves.
We live in a world where we KNOW for an absolute fact that doing pushups, being hydrated, and/or taking a power nap is enough to stop your depressed feelings in 15-minutes or less.
Makes you wonder why would the powers-that-be encourage such a limiting lie?
That’s a question I choose not to explore.
Instead I focus on what I can control, which are the same things you can control too.
You can control your meal plan.
You can control your exercise regimen.
You can control your sleep program.
Those three factors address 95% of your health concerns beyond mental wellness. The other 5% is genetic, which is still controllable.
The point is this.
Apathy is a signal. Your body’s way of telling you to focus on what is important.
Ignore that command, and you plummet into depressed feelings.
Ignore the feelings and you’ll become homicidal and/or suicidal.
Since 2012 I’ve been helping depressed and suicidal men master their emotions to take charge of their life.
I’m grateful that I’ve helped the men I have.
In 2023, I’m still doing that work with men like you to get your health in check, while discovering your purpose, and developing a set of principles to keep you on track.
That’s my 3-Point Stability system to keep you stable.
Depression is awful.
I can help you with a taste of what’s possible in as little as 15-minutes though.
Your therapist should be telling you this, but if not, I got you friend.
The question is: Will you work to make yourself whole again?
If yes, you know where me and my network are:
If no, I wish you the best. I’ll be here when you change your mind.
Because my mission is to give 1K men newfound hope this year.
I ain’t going nowhere even after I do.
