A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer, โThis is the dumbest kid in the world. Watch.โ
The barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and two quarters in the other, then calls the boy over to ask, โWhich do you want, son?โ
The boy takes the two quarters and leaves.
โWhat did I tell you? That kid never learns.โ
Later the customer leaves mulling over what he witnessed.
Then he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store.
โHey, son! May I ask you a question? Why did you take the quarters instead of the dollar bill?โ
The boy licked his cone and replied:
โBecause the day I take the dollar, the game is over!โ
Cue laughter.
Funny joke with a smart lesson.
You can be right OR you can be rich.
Don’t get caught with ego limiting you.
Assess the situation first.
Is there an opportunity to profit, most likely YES.
Play to win the REAL game that matters.
Most of the time it pays to not be the know-it-all.
Especially if you’re at the bottom building something special.
I recommend this for the guys who want to align their brands with political movements.
Not worth it.
I explain why to members of The League.
