Your favorite personal brand strategist can’t answer this…

What’s their best advice for standing out in a crowded room?

Usually I hear:

  • Stay consistent. Find your message and never falter.
  • Be unique.
  • Be a chameleon.
  • Get on twitter and expand your digital footprint.
  • Manage your online reputation so your Google searches come up clean.
  • Be yourself and nothing more.
  • Learn how others see you.
  • Set Smart Goals.
  • And more and more non-actionable BS from people who seem to make it up as they go along.

None of which grab attention.

No one in a room says, that woman is consistent I HAVE TO say “HI”.

They’re all wrong “tactics” filling your to-do list with minutiae.

Personal branding is really persona building, which has existed since the days of Jesus and earlier charismatic leaders.

Followers had to choose one man or woman versus another. How did those leaders stand out and inspire confidence?

I assure you Twitter wasn’t their go-to, nor was just being themselves, or “goal-setting”.

It was more assertive (and arguably aggressive) than the silly talk above.

This month there’s a section devoted to persona building that you won’t see anywhere online for free because most leaders keep it to themselves and teach the dumb stuff. Or they just don’t know it (more likely).

Just applying one of the persona techniques will shift the way people view you, and captivate their attention even if you operate in a dominated niche.

Go here for charismatic domination even if you’re an introvert:

Be well,

Max!
