Since starting Max’s Jam Session, I’ve been offering quick support on how you’re writing, sending, and delivering your messages.
It’s been fun, and you can have a taste here too:
But I’ve been doing this for a while. Like with my one friend in Thailand, 30 days into her consistent emailing.
After complimenting her recent pithy, direct, and emotionally gripping message she writes:
“I’m learning how to keep it short… slowly 😉
Basically by putting the long stuff I want to say in a blog instead of an email hahaha”
Awesome. She gets it.
When you listen to what I write and not what I say you’ll lost sight of what this is all about it.
Emailing every day works to build your influence.
YOUR influence.
Not mine.
Writing exactly like me won’t suit you since we’re two different people.
If writing short messages that attach to a blog post, video, tweet, etc. is best for you, run with it.
Your influence is yours to tailor however you like.
What matters is…
a) Talk to your reader like you’re sitting right beside them on a park bench or at the bar.
b) Tell a story to relate to their concerns (good, bad, and ugly) not their superficial desires.
c) Give them a basic solution in the message, and an advanced solution when they click (ideally for a paid solution).
d) Repeat.
Anyway, with me or anyone else teaching you something new, listen to the underlying sentiment first and apply that lesson. Do this and you’ll never botch your own results.
We do this every day in our Jam Sessions:
Plus right now Selena’s Soo latest bonus is available.
It’s the step-by-step directions to make the most of networking events.
Learn what events to attend and when to show up, the one question to ask meet the best prospective clients with one question, and how you can leave early with the most profitable results of anyone there.
Perfect, if you like to be home by yourself at the end of the day.
