Every week I get dumb guys trying to convince me depression is bad and a real thing that ruins lives. Every week I say the same thing. FALSE. Depression is not bad, it’s a good thing. It’s a sign from your body to wake up, let go of what you can’t control, and fix the broken things in your life. Does it ruin lives? In and of itself, hells no. But ignoring your responsibility to get out of depression does. Yet again this is a problem where men need a reframe to see the root problem. Now why do you feel depression in the first place? Because your life sucks.You have 7 major life areas that you need to manage to feel fulfilled. If one goes south, you have the other 6 to keep you afloat as you fix the damaged area. However, depressed folks only focus on 1 or 2 life areas. Usually money and girls. In that order. So when one of those areas goes south, they have nothing to help them through it. Life gets harder real fast as they spiral downwards. This is why depression is such an easy thing to diagnose and predict. Connor McGregor is a Great example, and so are most older professionals in any field. Connor loves to fight and doesn’t do much else he probably doesn’t know his value in various other areas that would fulfill him. Take away fighting and he will be depressed. Are you going to be a man prone to depression? OR… Are you going to be a man depression proof because you live a rich and full life?
