Take a $1K monthly detour

Wendy, on day 35 of her daily emailing writes, the following.

“I’ve been giving plenty free coaching to this new subscriber, did extract some marketing info (email ammo), but she’s been taking more and MORE and M  O  R  E  …I was fed up by yesterday…  she was asking me to find her a therapist to help her in the USA… she hasn’t bought a smidgen anything so I did that as a last good deed (I found her 3 names of Kinesiologists in the UK that love near her so she can go ask them what is needed for her skin)  then in yesterday’s email I managed to write in a  pitch for a bespoke service (to help her further to find her pot o gold) or a bespoke cream.. he he.. so I now have the wording ready in case another comes along.

I know.. my own fault engaging too much…”

Does this sound familiar {Your name}?

My Response:

Congratulations Wendy!

Your first 35 days of emailing is no joke. Keep going! I’m here with and for you.

Now let’s get to it…

Every time I read this, I cringe. It’s so much wok for a reader who probably doesn’t appreciate the effort Wendy had to go through. Thankfully, Wendy is smart and saved the experience for email ammo for future messages.

So what can I say that you and Wendy may not know?

Offer $1K consulting ONLY to people who reply with messages that eat up your time.

With this approach when someone emails you after you already answered their question, and are requesting you do something for them, you can say something like…

“Sounds like I can help you more Wendy.

Have you tried my product/book/course X, it’ll help you achieve Y in Z (timeframe). [insert link to item]

If you have, and still want support, I have a few openings to work with you one-on-one for 30 minutes. It’s only for serious [endearing term you call your readers] since it isn’t free. We can focus on your [exact challenge] so you can move past it and reach the Y result you want.

Otherwise, I talk about your exact concern every single day so this newsletter is the perfect place to be to learn more one step at a time, and ask questions.”

Three options. When people see this, they’ll make a choice.

Silence or action.

Action means they want a change and are willing to work, and even pay, for it.

Do you have 30 minutes for a dedicated reader like that?

Most months Wendy won’t have a single consult.

Regardless every month, she has peace of mind that she isn’t leaving anyone hanging without an option to reach their goals.

Plus, the extra $1K for 5-10 consults isn’t bad, Wendy can reinvest in her products, team, marketing or research.

I offer consults in a more complex way.

It’s how I build sales multiplier projects with partners. Sure I only have 10 spots a month, and they go fast, but they usually last well beyond the first 60 minutes.
