Stringer Bell’s BIGGEST MISTAKE

THE WIRE is better than your favorite TV show. Nothing is as riveting, grounded, and chock full of lessons that any man can immediately apply to see positive results.

My favorite character, Omar Little of course. I have a book coming out about him later this year.

But today, I want to take a look at Stringer Bell. The brains behind the Barksdale Organization.

Bell lived the street life.Had thuggish traits.

Also has a whole lot of ambition. He wanted to level up quickly. His mistake. Not knowing what he was getting into first.

I will not ruin his character arc for you. Nor spoil a fantastic story you will want to watch unfold each season. Instead I want to point out his BIGGEST MISTAKE.

One I see men make often.

Usually because they did not grow up with older brothers to keep them in check.

Usually they had a single mom raise them so they never learned male secrets and skills.

Usually because they do well enough in life since they're handsome and charming so they never got to learn the real tactics of how to get ahead.

They are now cautionary tales.

Pay close attention.

Ambition is good.

Feed it and run with it.

Bell's ambition was in the right place. His confidence? Misguided for sure.

Bell knew the streets. Bell knew how to adapt the streets for profitable gains by adopting business practices.

He had a hard time learning how to play the game at a new level with heavy-hitters who play dirtier than him.

He should have read the first 2 chapters of TAKE CHARGE.
