Been getting back to breath work lately. Helps me recover faster when I bring fresh energy to each of my cells, ligaments, and muscles in the form of clean air. Breathing alone, helps me in many ways when it comes to managing Sickle Cell that I would be worse off without what I know. It got me thinking about a thing that no one talks about at all. Yet once I say it, you’ll know it instinctively. Each emotion has a unique breathing pattern. You breath differently when you’re angry than when you’re grieving. Different still when you’re at peace versus apathetic. I’m sure you’re realizing this as I say it. Now here’s the magic… One could, by changing their breathing pattern, induce a preferred emotion. A person could, want to be angry, change their breath to match the angry pattern, and be an angry character. We’ll call that the ol’ curmudgeon breath. Now the opportunity. You decide your mood. Select a positive emotion, master breathing in that style, and consistently radiate that kind of energy in your character. In the same way you would tell an angry person to take a breath and reassess the situation. Take the proper breath to always be calm, cool, and collected. The most composed of men do this. They may not know it in words like I do, but through natural experience they’ve figured it out. Some say I do this well to the point where when I’m angry no one knows. Many of my “enemies” think I’m their best friend, which I use to my advantage, and their disadvantage. There is so much power in the breath. Our ancestors knew this. They also knew the power in emotions. Each being a signal telling you something about the moment. It’s important to listen to your body to understand its commands. I wrote about this in TAKE CHARGE. All the primary emotions are laid out for you to see what they all do and what they each mean. Then you can start listening to your body in its own language. That and a little bit of breath work and you can literally become the happiest man alive within the week without changing your circumstances. https://knoxuniversity.com/take-charge ย ย ย Be well, ย ย ย ย ย ย โ Papi Knox |
