Allow me to introduce you to my friend Selena Soo

Let’s go way back to once a upon time when I was young(er), dumb(er) and full of com…pletely green-eyed ideals.

When I invested a few bucks on the top names in the “make money” industry like Ramit Sethi and Frank Kern. It was my first time spending money online on what I once thought were sales-y Internet scams. These guys helped me learn difference between awful cons and awesome offers.

They’re Great cats who echoed things I knew and believed, but who had a whole lot more to show for it. So I placed them on a pedestal, and kept investing in their stock, yet it always felt off.

They were cool, but they didn’t seem to resonate with me. Still don’t.

I figured that’s just how it was. My bubble was small because I didn’t want to be scam by unethical marketers so I didn’t look to find other leaders. Was bored real fast…

That is until I watched a video of Selena Soo.

Everything about her was spot on with how I would say it AND why I would do it.

Instead of talking about money, fame and glory, she was this woman showing her true feelings on topics that affect people every day.

Feelings of anxiety when going to a networking event.

Fear of pitching topics you care about for media features you need.

Finding the confidence to compete (and outperform) BIG names with LARGE budgets when you have like no money to start.

I had the audacity to envision myself beyond those debilitating feelings, but no idea how to overcome them and make my dreams possible.

That is until she reminded through her work that success, however you define it, is about one thing— relationships.

Having the right friends makes all the difference in business, and you can’t expect to rise far without them.

Friends like these come in all sorts too: customers, mentors, coaches, media gatekeepers, even VIPs.

Basically, everything I teach about in TOP OF MIND.

But what I’ve never said before is that I consulted Selena Soo before I pitched a single idea to media, promoted a single blog post to third party sites, or charged a single dollar to you or anyone else.

She’s the only one doing business in the way I wanted, thus I wanted her insight (and secretly her blessing) to follow her lead and innovate with my own style.

Regardless of how much money I started with, countless hospitals visits I made, or just being terrified to pitch a new podcast for an interview, Selena gave me the first steps and words of encouragement to kick ass.

Very thankful for that.

So I’m passing that onto you now.

Click here to witness her leadership in her own words.

Be well,

Max!
