On the subject of Tinder, a friend asks:
“On Tinder, is a right swipe good or bad?”
Right swipe meaning they want to “get to know you”
Left swipe meaning they want to never see you again.
The real answer is it’s all how you look like it.
I’m a business-man and I see all choices a person makes about me and my business as good choices I can use it to my advantage. It’s when people don’t swipe, but skip their choice altogether that I worry.
And so should you.
In business, good copy does two things.
1 – Attract your best customers. 2 – Repulse your worst enemies.
Your emails and sales letters are STOP signs that inspire your reader.
Inspire them to rise against their insecurities and say yes to your best offer…
… OR inspire them to feed into their insecurities and unsubscribe from your list.
If you’re not moving people to ACT on that choice, then you’re doing your business and your reader a disservice.
Best part, those who do get it have a Greater sense of camaraderie and allegiance because they’re around people who share similar values and speak the same language.
See the people who do the best in TOP OF MIND have their fair share of insecurities. They’re human. But we’re not debilitated or paralyzed by them and so every day whether I, someone else, or life calls them out, they fight back instead of flee or freeze.
That’s why they subscribe and keep coming back, and invite friends month after month.
Meanwhile, the people feeling judged by the dailies or my sales letter, talked out of spending their money, or still dwelling over my print offering, are happily doing God knows what.
Maybe paying their therapist twice as much to tell them how awful I am. (well isn’t that ironic Alanis Morrisette?)
For me the best therapy has always been BIG WINS in my life and business.

Only the strong-willed need apply. Because if you can’t handle one silly man’s judgment, you won’t be able to handle the dozens of trolls in your inbox, and haters to come at you when you hit it big with the strategies inside TOM.
