OK you’ve made it to the final part of my “grimey marketing strategies that work” series.
Remember the first four. 1 – Burglary Method… 2 – Friendly Invader… 3 – Complaints and BooHoos… and Copycat. All techniques that will unethically boost your sales overnight.
I can go on with unethical methods, but let’s end on a note that doesn’t land you on the run from the law or feeling lesser than others (well I may have spoke too soon on that last point).
This is called the “Frugality Cut-Off Strategy”.
Cut off your legs today.
So simple. Stand on no legs on purpose.
See the other strategies force you to harm others, hence my extra “e” in the way I spell griMEy. For emphasis on how selfish this all is.
But here’s what’s selfless (literally) about this approach.
You probably won’t make more money, unless you combine it with Complaints and BooHoos. But what’s cool is that you will spend less. No more pants, underwear, shoes, socks, razors and creams to shave your legs. All of it removed from your future budget.
And think of how much weight you’ll lose too.
Yes. It’s awful. But true and works.
Don’t take it seriously? Neither do I because my best friend was paraplegic, and it wasn’t fun.
The same way it’s not fun to deal with people who comfortably cheat themselves and others out of being good and doing good. We all have too many colleagues using these methods and worse.
Why follow them? Why not call them out?
Why be unethical when you can play within a moral and ethical code, help people to lead their best lives, and earn a proud living while doing it?
