Just heard from a leader who said they like my ideas but they are gonna go in a different direction.
Happens often.
Bright-eyed, bushy-tailed “leaders” reach out to learn from an expert, but when they don’t hear what they want, they dismiss it and go in a different direction.
Can’t be helped, and good riddance to ‘em. Not too worried because they’ll be back.
See what they wanted me to say to them was that they need a 20-day autoresponder sequence that makes their reader “feel good”.
Ya know because readers desperate for help LOVE to wait for the answers. That’s why we’re so excited for trips to the DMV.
The same “leaders” want to hear that they only need to talk about their best products once or twice a week.
Ya know because people love it when you hold back helpful information for days at a time.
The same “leaders” who want to learn a complicated system a la Frank Kern or Ramit Sethi that takes months to build and test before they can launch it fully and see if it actually works on their specific market.
Ya know because “leaders” enjoy the extra time to complain about how little they’re making and “how business is hard”. But really when it fails they just want a good excuse to blame it on their marketing team.
Can you read between the lines?
Do you see what’s really going here? It’s pretty obvious… FEAR.
Fear unlike anything that’s publicly talked about— Fear of Acceptance & Fear of Success.
That fear is real, and when I was young(er), I used to feel that way too, and purposely (subconsciously) sabotage myself before I even got started.
But here’s the thing about fear, it’s a very telling acronym:
You can Forget Everything And Run… or… Face Everything And Rise.
The choice is yours as always.
But if you’re in the latter camp, let’s jam this month to craft an email marketing campaign with a proven 5-Step-Email-System.
A system that takes minutes to implement, proudly presents your best solutions to grateful readers regularly, and is so simple that it’s newbie-proof and works even if you do it wrong.
You’ll accept how awesome you are and the success you gain from it without fearing that you’re not good enough.
