Sandra, a fellow reader of these daily emails said I should start this week talking about vulnerability
Didn’t know it’d have a BIG IMPACT on me.
Many of you reached out to share your own stories, and connect me with your best doctors on the subject of Sickle Cell Anemia. Another proposed a documentary idea.
All just talks for now.
What’s real is that the response blew my mind. Thank you for your generosity and support. We’re all battling something so the point is use simple strategies to run your business helps so that you can do more good in the world.
Emailing every day is how I do it in spite of being sick.
That said, do you know the difference between “being vulnerable” and “being exposed”?
Vulnerability: showing what you typically keep secret, private, only to yourself and those you trust.
Meanwhile…
Exposure: feels like vulnerability, but it’s overwhelming with all the world’s eyes on you. It’s immense, heavy, and guilt-laden.
Feelings of guilt, shame and judgment are not vulnerability rather the result of fear and distrust in who you shared yourself with and what you shared.
It’s important to note the difference since it applies to Internet Marketing.
When you share yourself for the first time with a new idea, new approach, new product or service, it’ll be nerve-wracking.
Being on the verge of something new is always like this.
It’s actually a good sign. Famed best-selling author, Stephen Pressfield, calls it “resistance” in his book, The War of Art.
Resistance being the urge to quit because of fear. Fear keeping you away from a golden reward on the other side.
Knowing that the pressure is good for you isn’t convincing enough?
Want to know how to launch with confidence in spite {Your name}?
Present your idea to your best customers/clients first.
The people most dedicated to your work are the ones who invest in you consistently and confidently. They have faith in you so start with them before reaching out to strangers who have none.
Rather than launch to your entire list… segment your list of just these people who already trust you.
It’s akin to being in a tough spot with a friend or significant other. So instead of going to them first, you reach out to a best friend or sibling before sharing it with the person it involves.
Works nicely in email too.
What you learn (and earn) from a short email campaign will improve your main launch strategy afterward with stronger copy, success stories, and fresh new bonus ideas too.
Likewise boosting your confidence along the way.
Reserve your chance this month to talk about this one-on-one with me in a Strategy Session. I’ll help you outline your next launch in an hour (not days, weeks or months) so you can put it to action and earn from it by the end of the month.
