Friend, in 2016 you are the most productive you’ve ever been.
You’re rising above the challenges of your past to dare to dream bigger.
You’re working smarter to live accomplished and to enjoy it… instead of deferring it to retirement.
That’s beautiful.
The other side of it is that… it taxes your mind body and soul, especailly when dealing with new things.
Change ain’t easy {Your name}.
I get caught up into it too.
I write daily and make it look easy. I even move you to push further and dare to do things that scare you.
That still has value too, but nothing is more important than being self-aware, introspective and listening to what your body is telling you.
I’m not anxious because I have to talk live tomorrow. Nah. That’s cake.
Been doing it for 12 years.
I’m dealing with anxiety because I ignored my body telling me it needed more sleep, better food, more downtime… and just… less overall.
Less is what I need.
So I’m taking stock of what it is that I’m actually doing, and what BIG IMPACT I can have by devoting more attention to fewer objectives.
I may not like what I find.
That’s why I have to share it with you.
Not to excuse what may or may not come next, but to give you an inside look that we rarely get from the people we follow for advice.
Usually we hear the bad news when it’s too late.
Not letting that happen in our relationship. So I’m telling you upfront.
I am sure you have your ups and downs too. That’s OK.
Maybe now is one of those downs, or on the down swing.
Before it eats you up, chews you up and spits you out leaving you in a hospital bed or on your own or worse off than you were to start, stop…
Check-in with yourself.
Own your time and energy the way I teach you to own your voice. Your voice is what matters not what you create with it. Honor that and nurture it so you can continue to use it.
Everything you’re doing means nothing, if you’re not at the helm to lead it. No one grows stronger without your guidance.
We need you whole and well.
It’s not my job to make you look good, it’s my job to reveal how good you are to the world by sharing my insights.
That said, I can’t do that if you’re not feeling wonderful {Your name}.
So today, be well and take it easy.
Make time for a 25 minute rest. A nap, a favorite TV episode, a book you’ve been missing, a laugh with a lover, play catch with your friends.
Do the things that energize you, that you normally put off because “you got work to do”.
As for me, the show will go on. Tomorrow at Noon ET.
I’m going to reframe the conversation around being your authentic self to earn the best customers you deserve.
I may weave it around my favorite example of being a plumber.
If you haven’t heard me use this one, you’re going to enjoy it.
With Blab, I can’t share my screen with examples, so this will be a 15 minute talk where you’ll want to be focused. Meaning you need to arrive rested and will want to shut out all distractions.
Come prepared to expect the best, and I’ll deliver the best, so you can put forth your best in reaching your business goals.
Thanks to this day off I’m already doing better. Had time to clean up and enjoy myself in my favorite ways. Even say hi to my closest people.
I’m thankful for that, and taking this time is easy and effortless. I hope you find the same reward.
See you tomorrow (literally),
Max!
