Michael Bay’s lessons on how to be “G” ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพ

Ever see TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON?

It’s a fun Michael Bay movie doing what he does best. I’m not talking about the obvious low angle pans and live-action explosions.

But the bombastic characters that are usually caricature of the actors or personality types we all know and find obnoxious. Definitely not for the woke crowd.

Anywhats… the one Bayhem character I dig to this day is Bruce Brazos played by character-actor John Malkovich.

He’s in the movie for all of 5-minutes if I recall correctly. His prominent feature is in one of the many strange scenes of the move, where he interviews the main character Sam for an internship.

Sam’s not feeling the job or Bruce and gets up to walks out the door defeated. Bruce stops him and says the truth that faces all of us.

“You want the job AFTER this job. But this is the job standing in your way. That’s why you’re going to be very good at it.”

Even when I heard it the first time it reminded me of all the projects I choose versus the ones I ignore.

Every successful man I know focused on tasks that brought him closer to his life’s dream. He respected the process at hand because he was excited about the BIGGER OPPORTUNITY at the end.

Right now me and my team are writing tweets for clients. Not because we love the actual work. We do it because we’re grateful at the opportunity to get closer to our truer goals. That’s why I only hired the best guys in my network who also see this as a stepping stone to something Greater. I hired with their best interests in mind.

You gotta live the same way.

You do what you have to do today to get to do what you want to do tomorrow.

And that alone motivates you to give it your all.

You work out to be stronger because strength leads to opportunities.

You play chess because tactical skills leads to opportunities.

You build an IG because it leads to dating and business opportunities.

See the bigger picture and make the not-so-sexy moves in your way to get there.
I don’t know if that helps you.

But it’s helped me my entire career.

Why I made it one of the lessons inside TAKE CHARGE.

Bruce and Sam are take charge kind of guys, in their own words. They have to be to appreciate the power of gratitude as a motivator.

Master the lesson that me and them know:

See you on the other side.

One step closer to fulfilling your purpose.
