Really you are.
I’m probably not the first person to tell you that either.
You just do very weird things that normal people just don’t do, and it makes us uncomfortable.
I mean, who does things like…
… runs their own business?
That’s crazy.
You’re supposed to have a regular job for a company that pays you a decent wage. And maybe, just maybe, if you work really hard someone will give you a raise and bonus at the end of the year. Maybe even a promotion?…
You’re so odd…
You’re supposed to settle down and get comfortable at your age. Take it easy. Don’t stress your heart with all these ideas and values about helping people in your community. We know your heart, that’s good enough.
You’re so odd…
You’re supposed to be grateful for what you have in the bank, no matter how little or how much it is. Don’t want for more thats greedy. Gluttonous. What are you going to do with a few extra zeroes anyway. Why don’t you go back to school and get another degree and some more debt? Don’t that sound better?
You’re so odd…
You’re supposed to doubt yourself, limit yourself, and be content with everyone around you who’s doing the same. Why don’t you just conform already?
Why you gotta be so odd (subscribers name)?

That’s what they all say isn’t it?
They can’t wrap your head around who you are, and what you do, or why you dare to be the way you are.
When I look at how few of us odd balls there are, I can’t wrap my head around it either.
Except to be thankful I’m on the leadership side of the coin with you.
Let’s be real, not everyone is cut out to do what we do, and succeed. Better us than them right?
The world needs leaders, we all know that, but only so few of us rise to the role.
That demands a certain courage in the face of adversity, especially in those silent, lonely spaces where you must stay focused and self-motivated.
Leadership demands your due diligence to question ideas, paradigms, and “normalcy,” and question yourself too, so that you can create the solutions others couldn’t find before.
Leadership demands a hunger for knowledge and constructive mentors in the forms of books, people, and past leaders to help you along.
I believe you’re special.
You and like so many others today, and in that past.
That’s why I love working with you to move you along on your inspired timeline faster than expected.
It’s why I spend so many hours of my time writing to you each month.
You’re truly unique, you’re an odd ball.
Well more like an Odd Fellow from the 1850s.
A society of men and women, of all nationalities, races and ethnicities who sought to improve mankind by using their shared resources to help communities thrive.
Very progressive for the time, for so many reasons as you can imagine.
That’s not the really cool part. What’s really cool is that this organization had thousands of members in 26 countries and hundreds of millions of dollars to invest in charitable projects.
Like the Red Cross or missionary programs do today, these Odd Fellows were the first hands-on philanthropist that I’m aware of.
Proudly working worldwide with their ideas, in an era of limited mobility and communication.
So I look at you today, hear your voice on the phone, hang with you in person, and write to you, and I can’t help, but think…
Damn, (subscribers name), you’re so odd!
Wear that title proudly because I do. More than ever before.
This is yet another reason I love being a part of what we do, it echoes the past, even further back than I thought.
It’ll be a beacon for people in the future too, who dare to look back at your accomplishments.
For now it’s a day of your life, where you chose to not be like everyone else settled, bored, content, completely conformed.
Instead you choose to work hard, dream BIG, rise to your challenge level, do what’s necessary (within reason) and more than make money, but invest in a community of people who need your help.
This is why Clarity Sessions have been such a blessing to me and so many of my subscribers.
One of the “unadvertised bonuses” you get is more contact with me to hold you accountable, and the added benefit of becoming a charter member for a private community of thought leaders that I’m building.
Our own present day Odd Fellow collective, if you will.
That’s the future though where we’ll connect with each other beyond email to share ideas, inspiration, and support our respective projects.
If you want that opportunity to grow further, without having to always rely on yourself for self-motivation, sign up for a session today.
You’ll get a head start on building a profitable sustainable business. So you can enjoy the rest of your year focused entirely on growth in 2016.
Sound good?
Be well,
Max!
P.S. How did yesterday go with the template I shared with you?
Tell me all the juicy details. I read all my emails and I’m excited to relish in your email adventure.
