80/20 emails

Read enough of my emails and you’ll probably hear me call out silly people with their lazy mindsets at least once a week.

I can only imagine what you think of me. I don’t know or care though because it’s important that I do this.

I’ve seen one too many people get sucked up into cutesy words and feel-good “wantrapreneur rhetoric”. You know the sort? The ones who selfishly talk with you for weeks but without offering you a single piece of tangible, actionable advice.

That’s cute, on facebook, among friends. But when you’re hurting for a solution to a question, you don’t need someone to help you cope in your misery.

You want results so you can rise up to the level of the one teaching you.

Same goes for your emails.

You aren’t your reader’s escape or distraction.

You’re their active helping hand. You’re their beacon of hope that consistently leads them away from the rocky shore to safer waters.

It’s selfish of you not to do your service and get it in their hands immediately.

So I’m tough on those wantrepreneurs. I’m tough on you too. Even paying clients and Tomcats get challenged by me.

Because you have work to do that means a lot to your customers. Customers constantly ignored by your competitors who play the wantrapreneur game.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t have rich parents to bail me out. I don’t plan on going back to a 9 – 5 job, even if it is with Google again. Nor am I interested in supporting someone else in their business when they don’t value my support to do it.

Few people know this, but the origin of “entrepreneur” is French and means “to do something”.

So Do you want-to-be-an-entrepreneur? Or are you already one?

How are you gonna help your reader today with one actionable tip that gives them a BIG WIN they can celebrate with you?

A win to turn into a testimonial. A win that helps you build your list with qualified prospects because they heard their friend sing your praises?

What makes TOP OF MIND so powerful is that I spend about 20 hours crafting a 12-page guide to make sure that you get at least one nugget of insight that will change your life.

The classic 20% nugget that gets 80% results for you and your team.

I’m committed to that in all areas of my life and OK with it, even if it makes me that bad guy that everyone loves to hate.

And like the others, if I ever fall short, you can call me out on it too.

I give my personal number out to all Tomcats so they can correct me when I’m wrong, tone me down when I’m too harsh… but honestly, so far it’s just pleasant feedback and ideas for how to improve my offering for the future Tomcats like you to come.

Type of feedback that comes from doing the work and listening to how people use it. Not from wanting to do something and hoping someone does it for me.

Experience it for yourself:

Be well,

Max!
