2015 – 2016 was GARBAGE for most freelancers

When you look back, you’ll see what you did, who you met, and realize how embarrassing it all was.

Think about your freelancing career for example.

Who were you serving?

What work did you produce?

How did you get their business?

I’m sure you’ve made a lot of changes since then, so looking back will be painful.

For me being 28 was GARBAGE.

I used to reach out to leads by nearly begging them to work with me, and they always seemed so excited and interested. Just not excited enough to invest.

I gave away so many free work samples, and sometimes undercut my peers just so I could land the gig and pay a bill.

A lot of things I knew were wrong and unfair, but I did anyway simply because I didn’t know my options.

Really, I just didn’t know my own worth. Or that my choices set a low standard for how new customers would treat me.

My career has radically shifted month-by-month since then.

Today, I’m looking back and both proud, as well as, kicking myself for making my career so much harder than it had to be.

All that time I could have been thriving not struggling.

So when is your next birthday celebration?

When you look back on the past 12 months, what’s your story going to be?

Is it going to look exactly like it did then?

Or is it going to be Garbage that you took out to clean your space?

For a clean change in only 30 days, learn what you didn’t know then and shift perspective.

Be well,

Max!
